Shauls (Vegetables) and Borringers (local Fruit) are also on Route 30 in Middleburgh. You will find fresh, local produce at all our farms in Schoharie County.

Schoharie has many other attractions as well. Howe Caverns- open year round- is educational and always fun www.howecaverns.com; A neighbor of Howe Caverns is the Iroquois Museum- a must see www.iroquoismuseum.org; Coopers Ark Farm- offers farm tours hosted by Phil and Pam Metzger. It is a great place for children. Phil takes particular pride in the handicap accessible wagon on which you tour the farm. Check out their website for more details: www.coopersarkfarm.com .Another attraction is the stunning Landis Arboretum located in Esperence. www.landisarboretum.org. There is always something interesting and fun going on there!

Looking for gifts in addition to pottery? A visit to the Apple Barrel and Wellington's Herbs and Spices will surely fulfill your needs. www.applebarrelcountrystore.com and www.wellingtonsherbsandspices.com . Generations is located right on Main Street in Schoharie; they have gifts and antiques. You will find plenty to do and see in Schoharie County.

The Tory Tavern, http://www.torytavern.com/ on Route 443 is just three miles from the shop. The Tory Tavern has a delicious menu served to you by wait-staff in colonial garb. The restaurant is beautifully decorated by owners Ralph and Irmgard Buess. I highly recommend dining there, it is my favorite (and the desserts...wow!).

Schoharie is rich with history. The Stone Fort, near the covered bridge, is open regularly and hosts re-enactments at different times of the year. Antique shops dot the landscape as you travel from place to place in Schoharie. Two significant antique shows sponsored by the Schoharie Colonial Heritage Association occur in September and March at Schoharie Elementary School located in the village.

Many wonderful artists live in the hills of Schoharie County. You can find more information through the Tri County Arts Council in Cobleskill, NY. www.tricountyarts.org
